So things were calm this round. Expect it to stay that way?
Calm? LOL, Katie and I were freaking out. We thought it was too calm. I really thought they were going to blindside one of us since nobody was talking before TC. This is the weirdest tribe I have even experienced. They don't talk any strategy, Basically, what they say they are going to do, they do. That is good and all, but usually the bottom person will scramble and that makes you talk about the game. I really think things will continue to be calm because everyone feels safe at the moment. I think somebody is about to be in for a big surprise. It should get interesting around here.
Now that we've seen how the Refuge twist is affecting the game, how are you expecting it to play out in the long run? Both logistically, and how it will affect relationships.
Well, I think we are about to go to three different tribes. So the thought process changes dramatically because you always want to control your own faith and the only way to do that is losing the challenge. I'm not the type who likes to throw a challenge, but I'm only one person. The twist really hasn't changed relationships, but has allowed me to talk to a few people from the other tribe and build some type of relationship. It may help in the future and it may not.
Discussions between you and Katie have expressed some hesitations about your allies. Where does that stand now? Do you trust them, or will you strike?
It is funny that Katie and I are playing this game again and working as a pair. A pair is dangerous and that has worried me all along because I think others are beginning to realize this. We really don't trust Penny. We believe she is working with Lisi and we know she is Daniel's girl. Daniel and Penny have offered us a final four and we accepted because we both needed time to pick the other's brains. But with this group, people don't talk so we second guess what their intentions are. However, we have landed in the middle of two alliances in our tribe. Mike/Yul and Penny/Daniel. We could go either way, so we must play it wise. At this moment, we will be going with Yul/Mike because Penny/Daniel have Lisi and I've been told that Lisi/Penny are really close. This would make Katie and me on the outside.
