Haha I was asked but had to decline since I'd have been MIA until after IC1/TC1 with vacation, and my schedule during normal challenge times is going to be too unpredictable the next few weeks with moving, getting settled, starting work and such. Glad I still get to observe it all though! Very excited to watch from this side of the fold.

Looking forward to seeing you host! Where are you moving to if I might ask?

With you not in the game, im free to behave like my old self, without any real opposition since nobody knows too much about me.

Although you'd be handy in terms of the challenges. I feel like I got the bonehead tribe, they're all a bunch of duds.

Moving to DC. And I know you're an aussie. I could probably recall which state if I thought long enough. I think Ted was QLD?

Interesting point you bring up there. Is this the same way that you felt before the first challenge, or did your perception of the strength of your tribemates change since then? Also, is this in any way related to your plan on the previous page about throwing the challenges? If you go through with it, would you brand is as "accepting defeat" in a way (based on your views alone, I haven't even gotten to challenge catch-up yet) or preemptively rationalizing the tribe's expected performance?

Ted is indeed QLD. I am VIC. We just had an Earthquake here about 10 minutes ago. Nothing serious but my house shook and everything. icon_surprised

Ted is in school, which I assume is the reason he isnt playing. I'd still vote his black arse out first though! Dont you worry about that!

Its an interesting thing to think about. Honestly I didnt think the tribe was THAT impressive from the get go. Yeah Yul is supposed to be amazing and Cristina is no mug either from what I have heard. But Ian and Katie are both olden style players, both say they havent played a game in ages. Natalie is a bit of a ditz, so I just assume she has no real clue what shes doing. I think Mike is just a troll as well. But I dont know. Its just the impression I get.

Im definitely not 'accepting' defeat by any means. The idea would simply be to keep my alliance in my own hands, rather than potentially splitting it up, them getting voted out, and having to go into the merge with people like Cristina or Mike, who I dont trust as much. It also ensures that I can never end up on the Refugee tribe, which if my estimation of the twist is correct, means I avoid being on a brand new tribe with new players I dont trust.

If this were to work effectively, we would still need to win our fair share of challenges before the merge in order to enter that stage with a reasonable amount of my loyal troops in hand. I cant count on a Daniel-esque flip or batshit crazy flipper Ted to bail me out of jail this time around.

My 'arrangement' with Brenda is something of a backup plan just in case my potential push to have us throw the challenges doesnt work out. If I can set something up with Brenda, then at least I have something in my back pocket to perhaps steer me to the merge. Once at the merge I would end up with my Refugee alliance and hopefully the remnants of any Seuua alliance also.

Im still not sure whether or not throwing the challenge would be the right thing to do thats all. This refugee twist has made the game so so complicated its not funny.

What are your thoughts on Parvati getting voted out?

How do you think Paloma and Brenda interacting with your tribe is affecting tribal dynamics here?

Parvati getting voted out was mostly Lisi and Yul's call. Katie and myself were happy to just do whatever they wanted for now, which keeps the target away from myself.

Brenda is such a player and its so hard messaging her because I need to re-read everything I type so I dont give away too much. No doubt she is toying with some of the players here, but hopefully we can just stick with our Cristina vote plan and leave it at that. I think everyone feels pretty safe with me. Ive made sure to tell everyone that "its you and me together for sure".

But it isnt... icon_shifty

Ok.

Us winning has HUGE ramifications for the remainder of the game.

Ive assured Brenda that if she takes Yul, she'll face the wrath of the Tiger Tribe come the merge. Im sure she doesnt want to set herself up as a target this early, BUT you can never be too sure.

Im almost positive she'll elect to take Cristina. Im hoping thats what happens.

Today's PM convo with Cristina assures that I left the door open to unite with Cristina come the merge if that option is necessary.
