I agree, which is why it baffles me that Catalie seems to be thought of as playing the best strategic game. She may have played a good social game, but strategically I don't think she played well at all. As I've said, I think I positioned myself in the best spot strategically by the end of the game, which is all that matters. I was the one who got what they wanted in the end game, not Cat or Alina.

My 10-step guide to making the final 3:

1. Strike up my connection with Yul
2. Position myself in the majority to get rid of Parvati
3. Creating an alliance with Alina, Nay and Monica.
4. Having enough connections that I was always fed idol clues without ever actually being given any directly myself.
5. Idoling out Daniel, who I felt Yul was most likely to take to the final 3 with him. He had told me that he wanted Katie out before final 3, so I saw Dan as more of a threat.
6. Staying away from the game for a weekend in an attempt to get the vote put on me.
7. Idoling Katie, who was the biggest threat in the game and would’ve won hands down in the final 3.
8. Idoling out Brenda, who was the 2nd biggest threat in the game and would’ve won hands down in the final 3.
9. Positioning myself in a final 5 with Yul and Alina, who I knew both had my backs. This meant that I was pretty much guaranteed final 3 at that point without having to win immunity.
10. Voting out Yul at F4. A very hard vote, but I think he would’ve won had he been here.

I was completely honest with you though, back at Refuge and when we merged. Brenda and I did know what was coming the round you left, yes. I won't deny that. A plan came into play after Sekou left, the next day and I knew you were leaving the game. I did not distance myself from you though because I wanted you out. I hope you know that? It's just at that point, no one was going to work with 4 of us. They wanted you and Erinn out before they would even play with Brenda and I. If it weren't for Erinn's immunity runs, she would have been out right after you and there was nothing we could do about it. They still had majority on us and were sticking to their program until F9. The other plans I made without you were not made the minute we merged. They came about the day you left. I promise you this.



1. Picking Alina and Erinn to help with the immunity challenge in Round 2 before anyone else could say shit. We won that challenge and Cristina took me to Refuge.

2. Building up my relationships with you, Brenda and Erinn and the others going into Refuge as a tribe.

3. Staying with you guys and keeping our plans on Refuge and making sure our alliance made the merge together.

4. Trying to talk to everyone at merge and making myself someone who people could talk to, even if they didn't trust me yet.

5. Having a tight and working relationship with NaOnka and knowing that being close to her could benefit me on trying to work with the others.

3. Having a tight and workign relationship with Alina all game, we were closer than either of ever let on and had promises not to vote eachother all game.

2. Keeping my alliances and connections open with Katie and Yul and being a integral and active ally to both them and Daniel. I told them everything I knew and they really are part of the reason why I am sitting here tonight.

1. Keeping Brenda and Erinn in the game for as long as I could. I worked with them and knew it would help me in the long and short run and it did. I also kept my connections stong with everyone else as well.

Was there ever a fall-back plan :/ I would also point out than the bulk of the negative reasons a tribe of three players could avoid a Pagonging by seven(!) was down to you, and people within your alliance's suspicions of you. One little bit of reassuring social play and that whole damn mess coulda been avoided. If you have all night to find idols, you certainly have time to send a multi-paragraph PM or two to your allies at the time.




Alina - is this the game you want to have that little number 1 you covet to refer to? Do you want it that badly, that you'd let this to be your first? Yes it is Stranded All-Stars of a fashion, but wouldn't you rather have a win that you can legitimately say was hard-earned?

I loved how we could talk/argue shit out, and cover different approaches, and double-feed info. I loved that you would cede to my schemes sometimes and I would to yours others. I love how we completely flaunted 'us' as a pair.
